Bio

My Education

Hi there! My name is Allison Taylor. My students call me Ms. Taylor or Ms T. I have been dedicated to teaching and sharing art for almost 20 years now. I have been teaching high school art for the past 10 years in the public school system including San Diego and Los Angeles. I have experience teaching a variety of ages from children to adults through private lessons and small groups. I am also a practicing artist and I currently have a Ceramic studio in my garage. In my own art practice I mostly create sculpture including ceramics and pottery but I also love to draw and paint. I love teaching and inspiring young people to also find a love of making things. This website is a new teaching tool for me so please contact me for any questions.
I graduated with honors from the University of Davis, California with a Major in Studio Art and Art History.
I completed a year of graduate studies at Brandeis University just outside Boston, MA and went on to complete my graduate degree in San Francisco, CA. I earned my MFA at the San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) and completed the teaching credential program at San Francisco State University.
